Airfoil Services (ASSB) Awarded Certificate Of Appreciation From IHI Corporation, Japan For Best Repair Shop.

A 3 member delegation team from IHI Corporation led by Mr Naruto Takata, Managing Executive Officer of IHI Procurement Strategy Planning, Mr Shiro Mitsuhashi, General Manager of IHI Procurement and Mr Toshio Mitsui, Senior Manager of IHI Procurement visited Airfoil Services’ facility on the May 29th 2013 to present the certification to ASSB Managing Director, Mr Steffen Richter.
During his speech, Mr Takata reiterated that “Airfoil Services provided excellent repair quality, on time delivery and communication coupled with attractive and competitive pricing. ASSB has maintained and kept outstanding performance at all times. We all appreciate ASSB’s support to the IHI program”
During his speech to thank the IHI delegation, Airfoil Services Managing Director, Mr Steffen Richter mentions “This certificate of appreciation from IHI Corporation is a testament of our dedication and commitment to servicing and fulfilling our customers’ needs. We will continuously strive to provide the best to all our customers as the premier centre of excellence in airfoil repair.”
Present as well during the ceremony was Airfoil Services Chief Operating Officer, Mr Derrick Siebert, Chief Financial Officer, Ms Lee Chui Hiong, Lufthansa Technik Sales Director, Chris Byrne and the Airfoil Services management team involved for supporting the IHI Corporation initiative.
IHI Corporation, a huge Japanese conglomerate is mainly involved in aero engines, space development, energy systems, industrial and construction machinery among others. IHI Corporation currently sends V2500 High Pressure Compressor airfoils and Low Pressure Turbine blades to Airfoil Services to be overhauled.
With an expanding repair portfolio of various engines types such as CFM56, V2500, CF6 and the new GP7000, Airfoil Services is poised to reach even greater heights.
